Marketplace Listing and Visual Assets

Prepare product listing data and approve the visual assets used for different marketplace placements.

Publish a complete product listing

Marketplace discovery uses product and developer information, category/search data, media, pricing, deals, and supported ownership/review context. Keep the product's storefront destination, delivery, support, and publication state consistent.

A listing is not a guarantee of a placement, traffic, or sales. SoundSync's established customer ecosystem is not an unrestricted mailing list.

Coordinated artwork is prepared automatically

For an eligible published, publicly listable product, SoundSync prepares missing core marketplace placements from the selected product GUI or product artwork. The set uses a coordinated visual direction and product branding across supported wide, mobile, and cover placements. Add an appropriate source image first; automatic preparation cannot invent a missing product interface or permission to use artwork.

Existing active placement assets are preserved during normal preparation. Explicit replacement or forced regeneration is a separate action. Recovery work revisits incomplete or interrupted preparation; it does not promise immediate completion, a particular homepage placement, or sales. Review the real marketplace result before promoting your listing.

Review or customize the result

  1. Start with product media

Choose a product GUI or product artwork you can distribute. Keep personal information and credentials out of the source.

  2. Let missing placements prepare

Publication can enqueue coordinated core artwork. Existing active assets remain in use.

  3. Inspect previews

Check desktop/mobile framing, the actual product, readable branding, and the chosen placement.

  4. Customize when needed

Use source organization, extraction, profile, masks, templates, rendering, and approval for a deliberate replacement.

  5. Check recovery

If preparation is incomplete, review the source and job outcome. Retry eligible work without repeatedly replacing an already approved asset.

Different placements need different crops

A homepage hero, product tile, and another marketplace placement can require different framing. Use placement-specific previews and the actual product image instead of relabeling the same generic dashboard mockup.

Marketplace sales use the same single 10% SoundSync fee for managed checkout. External partner fulfillment is a different commercial path.

Marketplace art does not replace your website by default

Your developer storefront keeps its current product artwork unless you choose Use this artwork on my site too in Marketplace Assets and save that preference. Marketplace placement approval, storefront artwork preference, and product publication are separate decisions. Turn the preference off to use the original product images again.

Previously saved artwork preferences

Older profiles with a saved storefront background can retain that established artwork choice even when the newer Use this artwork on my site too setting was not saved explicitly. An explicit on or off selection takes precedence. Review the current preview before changing the preference; normal preparation preserves active assets.

Choose the image behind your marketplace artwork

  1. Upload real product media

Open Marketplace Assets and upload from Source or the Media library. Usable uploads remain selectable even when older GUI images already exist. Archived or ignored assets are excluded.

  2. Select, then save

A new upload is brought into view, but uploading or focusing it does not replace the chosen source. Select its image and use Save Source to persist the choice.

  3. Review each placement

Check wide, mobile, cover and background previews. Coordinated core artwork selects a compatible presentation for each placement; one presentation mode is not forced into every shape.

  4. Replace deliberately

Normal core preparation preserves existing active artwork. Saving a source is not an instruction to overwrite every active placement. Use the supported explicit replacement or regeneration workflow and inspect the result.

Presentation modes follow the placement

For coordinated core sets, background textures use the minimal-brand treatment. Other placements retain a compatible selected mode or use a supported recommendation based on the chosen source. A mode suitable for a product cover may not be suitable for a background.

If an explicitly selected source is unavailable, correct the selection rather than silently using another upload. A failed upload can be retried without changing the saved source. Image upload, source selection, render completion, active artwork, storefront artwork preference and product publication remain separate states.
