Affiliate and Collaborator Payouts
SoundSync-managed recipient settlement policy, after-fee examples, funding and current availability.
Payouts on the 1st and 15th
Developer, affiliate, and collaborator payouts are available twice monthly, on the 1st and 15th, on the same schedule. Each payout covers eligible earnings from the previous period, plus any older unpaid eligible balance, after a minimum 14-day hold. Earnings still within the hold carry forward to the next eligible payout date. Accepted revenue shares, refund or dispute adjustments, and verified payout details determine the eligible balance. An invitation or calculator estimate alone is not a paid balance or proof of a completed payout. External reseller payments are not funds collected by SoundSync.
Current availability
Affiliate and collaborator accounting is available for eligible one-time product sales. Live participation requires explicit acceptance by both the developer owner and recipient of the current agreement version and payout policy before future eligible sales accrue shares. Keep payout details verified. An invitation or calculator preview is not collected money, and agreement acceptance is separate from live financial approval. Refunds and disputes reconcile the original shares; recurring-product commissions are not included in this workflow.
Separate shares and verified funding
SoundSync manages recipient settlement on SoundSync-collected sales. The 10% SoundSync fee is deducted first; ordinary managed-checkout processing is covered by SoundSync, not deducted again from recipients. The accepted affiliate share comes next, then collaborator shares and the developer remainder are kept separate. Eligible payouts follow the 1st and 15th schedule and minimum 14-day hold, with payment, destination, refund, dispute, and account checks. Externally collected reseller or partner sales remain unfunded estimates in this settlement system, and SoundSync does not cover their processing fees. No automatic cross-provider or currency conversion is promised.

An after-fee split example
| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| Discounted pre-tax product revenue | $100.00 |
| SoundSync fee, with processing included | $10.00 |
| Remaining revenue | $90.00 |
| Illustrative affiliate share: 20% of $90 | $18.00 |
| Illustrative collaborator share: 25% of the remaining $72 | $18.00 |
| Developer remainder | $54.00 |
How to read the example
The 20% and 25% rates are examples, not defaults or extra SoundSync fees. The affiliate share comes first; collaborators share the remainder and the developer receives the residual. Tax is not part of the split, and ordinary SoundSync-checkout processing is not separately deducted.
A preview is a calculation, not collected funds or a transfer. Saved sale allocations, reversal records, and payment references establish the account amounts. Legacy records keep their original basis rather than being silently recalculated under current rates.

Read recipient balances correctly
| Amount or state | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Accrued | Original shares assigned from eligible captured sales |
| Reversed | Original shares removed by refunds or dispute adjustments |
| Paid | Completed recipient transfers, net of recorded reversals |
| Reserved / submitted | Committed or provider-pending payment, not confirmed arrival |
| Held | Outstanding amounts not yet eligible under the hold, refund, dispute, or account checks |
| Eligible | Funded balance currently available to the supported payout run |
| Unfunded | External-sale estimate; no SoundSync-held payment backs it |
Refunds use the original allocation
Refunds use the accepted agreement version and saved allocation at the sale, not today's rate. Developers can select whole products or the full order within the 14-day initial-purchase window. SoundSync retains its original fee, the developer covers actual additional refund charges, and original affiliate/collaborator shares are reversed. Paid shares are recovered from future earnings; unrelated product earnings are not rewritten.
External collections stay separate
A reseller receipt can support fulfillment and an agreed commission estimate without putting money in SoundSync custody. Those amounts do not enter funded recipient payouts. The external seller covers its own processing and tax obligations. No external import automatically triggers a money transfer, converts a currency, or creates a SoundSync MoR sale.
From eligible earnings to payment
Stripe and PayPal checkout proceeds are held in the dedicated payout business account, not used for business expenses. Developer payouts use Stripe Connect. Keep the supported recipient destination verified and use the completed payment reference to check arrival. A scheduled payment, provider acceptance, and bank arrival are different states.
