Storefront Guide

Hosted Storefronts and Website Builder

Configure guided customer commerce pages, branding, navigation, and publication.

A connected customer experience

The hosted storefront includes supported home, catalog, product, deals, reviews, about, support, account/library, cart, and checkout-entry surfaces. Its commerce structure is guided; it is not an unrestricted drag-and-drop website builder.

Website Builder lets you edit supported descriptive content, imagery, featured products, templates, and navigation/product ordering. Brand Manager supplies the supported shared identity and appearance.

Review and publish your site

  1. Complete the brand

Set store identity, logos, palette, support, and policy links.

  2. Prepare products

Use saved, correctly priced products with verified delivery and access configuration.

  3. Edit supported page content

Choose the appropriate page/template and customize its supported fields rather than assuming every commerce structure is freely editable.

  4. Preview responsive layouts

Inspect desktop, tablet, and mobile views, featured selection, links, and product ordering.

  5. Save the intended state

Understand template editing/reset-to-source behavior before replacing customized content.

  6. Connect your domain

Use your apex or subdomain and wait for ownership/routing and SSL readiness.

  7. Test the customer journey

Browse product, cart, checkout, sign-in, library, support, and permitted newsletter behavior.

Embed installation is a separate choice

A full storefront embed coordinates commerce and routes on an existing website. A standalone embed is a supported individual surface and should not be mistaken for a complete cart/account/checkout installation. Use the matching embed guide and installation controls.

A guided store, not a blank canvas

Build homepage, catalog, product, deals, reviews, about, support, and account experiences around the product catalog. Edit descriptive content, media, featured products, and supported templates while cart, checkout, ownership, and delivery retain their connected commerce structure.

Edit with a clear publication boundary

  1. Choose the website style

Open Website design and compare Immersive with Game World. The choice coordinates all supported page templates rather than selecting a different style for each page.

  2. Arrange content

Within the selected style, edit the supported page content, media, and featured products. Navigation, footer, and page availability remain separate workspaces.

  3. Preview the layouts

Use Preview website to switch pages, desktop/tablet/mobile size, and light/dark appearance. Preview controls do not change the saved site.

  4. Save the intended changes

Choose Use Immersive or Use Game World, then explicitly save. Review unsaved edits and version conflicts. A restored history entry loads for review; it is not published merely by selecting it.

Menus, footer, and customer routes

Create nested navigation using internal pages, products, categories, external destinations, and saved links. Organize footer columns, move or duplicate supported entries, and choose social links. A page being enabled, appearing in navigation, and a product being listed are different settings.

Check newsletter readiness and test the configured signup path before promoting it. Page design does not create marketing consent or bypass sending readiness.

Marketplace art does not replace your website by default

Your developer storefront keeps its current product artwork unless you choose Use this artwork on my site too in Marketplace Assets and save that preference. Marketplace placement approval, storefront artwork preference, and product publication are separate decisions. Turn the preference off to use the original product images again.

Previously saved artwork preferences

Older profiles with a saved storefront background can retain that established artwork choice even when the newer Use this artwork on my site too setting was not saved explicitly. An explicit on or off selection takes precedence. Review the current preview before changing the preference; normal preparation preserves active assets.
