Offer families are not one identical workflow
| Capability | Current use |
|---|---|
| Scheduled deals | Time-bound product sale presentation and optional campaign draft |
| Promo codes | Code-based eligibility, scope, expiry, and redemption rules |
| Multi-product discount | Select eligible one-time products and choose automatic application or a required promo code. A qualifying cart receives the configured multi-product discount. |
| Tiered cart discount | Set percentage tiers by distinct eligible product count. Checkout uses the highest reached quantity threshold, automatically or with the configured code. |

| Buy one, get one | Define qualifying and reward products; review selected/all-product scope |
| Community group buy | Configure the supported target and qualification rules |
| Post-purchase coupon | Issue a reward under the supported workflow and eligibility policy |
| Product / subscription bundles and build-your-own bundles | Configure the supported bundle workflow separately; product bundles, subscription plans and build-your-own selections do not share every offer rule. |
The workspace includes more than codes
Filter by active, scheduled, paused, draft, expired, or exhausted state and by source. Campaign offers, imported codes, and issued rewards can require different actions. Inspect the checkout-backing/status before advertising a saved offer as usable checkout.
Promotion types are not freely interchangeable after creation. Duplicate or create the intended type rather than trying to reinterpret existing redemption history.

Prepare an offer
-
Select scope
Choose the products and permitted audience; product-scoped team permissions still apply.
-
Set the rule
Review dates, usage limit, discount type, target/reward conditions, and any code.
-
Check conflicts
Codes must not conflict with existing checkout codes. Automatic-offer stacking requires explicit supported configuration.
-
Preview the final price
Check eligible and ineligible carts, discount combinations, and the paid-price floor.
-
Publish and monitor
Review redemptions and performance; archive/restore deliberately. Deal-to-campaign creation makes a draft, not an autonomous send.
CSV imports and rewards
Preview coupon imports before applying them. Review product scope, customer targeting, invalid rows, and conflicts. A code without a customer target can be usable by another eligible code holder.
Reward issuance, reservations, retries, and reconciliation have their own activity records. Inspect the specific failure before retrying a reward action.
Paid-price floor
Paid products, subscriptions, and bundles must remain at least $9.99 after discounts, before tax. Free claims follow the redemption model rather than a discounted paid checkout.
Subscription promotions are a distinct offer
Use the dedicated subscription-promotion type for supported standalone, access, or keep-your-products subscriptions. Ordinary promo codes target one-time purchases. The subscription discount applies to the initial payment only; renewals use the regular list price. Final paid offers must still meet the $9.99 floor.
Purchase rewards are coupons, not stored money
The Purchase Reward option within Promo Codes can issue a unique customer-specific coupon shown in the customer's account. Its redemption count and eligible purchase are limited by the offer. It is not a stored-value gift card or a cash balance.
New minimum-spend rules use $9.99. An older higher threshold is preserved as a read-only legacy value. Minimum spend is an offer condition, separate from the minimum final price of each supported paid checkout offer.
Check how offers combine
Review supported stacking, eligible products, scheduled-deal overlap, and checkout mechanics before publication. A campaign drafted from a deal remains a draft. Recovery or reconciliation of an interrupted promotion does not broaden its eligibility or automatically send marketing.
Reward a larger selection with cart tiers
Choose Tiered cart discount in Promotions, select the eligible one-time products and add percentage tiers. For example, two different eligible products can unlock 10% off, and three can unlock 15%. Choose automatic application or require a promo code, then review the schedule and offer before saving.
Each distinct eligible product counts once toward a threshold. Buying three copies of one product does not count as three different products, but every eligible copy receives the reached tier discount. Free items and subscription products do not qualify. The highest reached quantity threshold wins, even if a lower threshold has a larger percentage.
Choose an optional coupon usage limit
Single Cart Discount and Tiered Cart Discount creators and editors show Total usage limit for both automatic and code-based offers. Leave it blank for unlimited redemptions, or enter a positive whole number to cap completed purchases across all customers. Edit the promotion to raise the limit or clear it for unlimited use.
Open payment checkouts reserve finite coupon uses. A limit cannot be lowered below completed purchases plus those reservations. Removing a limit preserves redemption history. API callers use maxRedemptions:null to clear a cap; leaving the field out of an update preserves its current setting.
Keep the final offer predictable
A tiered offer supports up to 50 unique positive product-count thresholds, each reachable by the selected products, with percentages greater than 0 and at most 100. Below the first threshold, an automatic offer does not apply; a required code that does not meet its conditions is rejected.
Checkout chooses the best qualifying automatic cart offer rather than adding every automatic offer together. A promo code excludes automatic offers unless its configuration explicitly allows stacking. Existing sale-item and stacking choices still matter. Every paid product must remain at least $9.99 after discounts, before tax; an offer cannot bypass this minimum.
